GRAVES TAKES TITLE

Rockingham, England (October 5th, 2018) –  

David Graves wrapped up the Toyo Tires BMW 2018 Production Championship title for his Graves Motorsport Team at Rockingham in Race 1 on the last day of the season.

“I can’t thank everyone enough for their hard work and dedication – especially the help and support I get from my sponsors Lucas Oil, Mtec Brakes and Gaz Shocks,’ he said.

The Championship was still in dispute until these final two races. Any one of the top three drivers had a realistic chance. David knew that a podium finish would be enough but was aware that nothing is guaranteed at this level of racing.

He qualified for Race 1 in pole position and once the starting lights went out, the win was never in doubt. He was a couple of car lengths up by the first corner and he controlled the race from the front to win comfortably. It was a hard-earned result that allowed him the luxury of a virtual lap of honour around the Rockingham circuit in Race 2.

“I’m lost for words it feels like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders,” he added
