Anglesey, Wales (March 13th, 2019) –

Although Lucas Oil is a name commonly associated with a wide range of track and off-road racing events around the world, such as Nascar and Indianapolis oval racing, drag racing, monster trucks and Moto-X, this is the first time the Lucas Oil US Shield has been officially involved in the BTRA Championship.

Driver John Powell and his JPR Truck Racing Team will be testing a variety of different products - including oils, lubricants, problem solving additives, greases as well as vehicle care and protection solutions - throughout the 2019 season to demonstrate how well they perform under extreme race conditions in the 760BHP DAF.

“It’s a new opportunity, a very competitive team and the new season looks set to be a testing time for our brand,” says Garry Phillips, UK Sales Manager at Lucas Oil Products (UK).

The 2019 BTRA season begins at Brands Hatch over the weekend of April 21-22. A total of eight meetings take place at six tracks. The other meetings are held at Pembrey (11-12 May & 5-6 October), Thruxton (29-30 June) Nurburgring (19-21 July), Donington (10-11 August). The BTRA Championship returns to Brands Hatch for the season finale (2-3 November).
