(October 22, 2020) –

Wigan racer Tony Lynch will hope to end his campaign in the Autosport International BTRDA Rallycross Championship presented by Cooper Tires on a high this weekend, when the season draws to a close at Knockhill. Wigan racer Tony Lynch will hope to end his campaign in the Autosport International BTRDA Rallycross Championship presented by Cooper Tires on a high this weekend, when the season draws to a close at Knockhill.

He makes the trip to Scotland leading the Supermodified class standings at the wheel of his Ford KA, in Lucas Oil livery. The car runs for the Paul Waldron Motorsport team, with support from members of Tony’s own Team Geriatric.

The Ford Ka engine runs on Lucas Oil’s 5W30 fully synthetic, which is the US lubricant and additive manufacturer’s top selling off-the shelf product for the UK car market. To compensate for the extreme racing conditions, the team fortifies it with Lucas Oil Heavy Duty Engine Oil Stabilizer.

In a huge boost for the season finale, and for the first time in series history, the key action will feature live coverage online. The third qualifying heats and the finals will be shown on the BTRDA Clubmans Rallycross Championship’s Facebook page, its YouTube channel, as well as on the Motorsport.TV platform.

The live stream is due to begin at around 13:30 on Sunday, 25 October, 2020.

Although one of only half a dozen drivers who could secure the overall championship title this weekend, Tony is the form driver. Last time out at Blyton, Tony proved to be the class of the field at the wheel of the KA and secured a strong maximum points score.

Lucas Oil’s Sales and Operations Director Dan Morgan says:

“Tony is a remarkable driver with the skills to bring home the Championship. Everyone at Lucas Oil will be wishing him all the success he deserves.”
