Title Defence Starts Well for Lucas Oil Driver

(14th April, 2023) –

Lucas Oil’s rallycross driver Tony Lynch leads after Round 1 of the Retro Rallycross Championship at Kent’s Lydden Hill track. The brace of podium finishes provides an ideal start to his defence of a title that he secured in a tight finish last season.

Close season improvements to his Landsail Tyres Team Geriatric Toyota MR2 paid off, ably supported by some skilful driving in difficult conditions:

“Although we didn’t manage to get the win in the first round, we had some really good battles on track and I was pleased with how well the car performed,” he said.

A range of Lucas Oil products are used to enhance the performance and look of the race car. The oil products include 20w50 High Zinc Racing Oil, Lucas Oil Heavy Duty Engine Oil Stabilizer (which provides extra protection for the engine across the entire season) and 75w90 synthetic oil in the gearbox. The range of items selected from the car care range includes Lucas Oil Slick Mist polish and Tire Shine.

“Tony’s ability behind the wheel is beyond doubt and if the car continues to perform like this, once again he’s going to be the driver to beat,” said Dan Morgan, Lucas Oil’s director of sales and operations.
