Lucas Oil Flag Flies Around Jeddah Track

Points for both drivers of the Lucas Oil-sponsored DAMS motor racing team continued a steady start to the new season after two rounds of the 2022 championship.

Roy Nissany (Isreal) and Ayumu Iwasa (Japan) drove well enough to ensure the team posted a top ten finish in both the Sprint Race (45 mins) on Saturday and the longer Feature Race (60 mins) on Sunday.

Strong pace combined with engine reliability and consistent driving around the tight and tricky Jeddah Corniche Circuit throughout the weekend to deliver a well-deserved reward of 13 points.

“The cars showed the consistency throughout the weekend and that’s what the team had been hoping for in the run up to this race. The drivers produced some fine moments. Everything is looking good for the next round,” says Dan Morgan, director of sales and operations at Lucas Oil Products (UK).

The DAMS team now heads to Barcelona for three days of testing ahead of Round 3 at Imola, in Italy, (22-24 April).
