Michael "Micke" Gullqvist began his Drag Racing career in the early 1990’s. After winning championships in sportsman classes, Micke and his team entered the Pro Modified class first time in 1998 with a nitrous assisted Chevy Camaro -69. After a couple of learning years the team won the NDRS Championship in 2000. In 2001 the inaugural Swedish Pro Mod Championship was won, this time in a 1941 Willys bodied car. After a couple of years out, Micke made a comeback in 2004 with a new car, now super-charged, dressed in a 1957 Chevy body. The Pro Mod class was introduced into the FIA European Championship in 2006 and the team won the first championship in 2007, followed by Championship wins in 2011, 2012 and 2013. In 2010 Micke was invited to compete for an American team at two events of the world’s largest Drag Racing Championship, NHRA. The first event in Gaines-ville, Florida resulted in a runner up effort and at the second event in Atlanta, Georgia Micke became the first ever European winner of a NHRA National event. The team is by far the winningest in European Pro Mod history.
