Ted Benau Uses Trans Fix in '95 Ford Taurus

I have a ’95 Ford Taurus that was bought brand new (3 miles only). I have been it’s personal mechanic and taken care of it since it was a baby. And I have regularly changed filters, fluids, and maintenance when needed. It presently has 233,431 miles on it, and my car has ran as quite or quieter than quite a few newer vehicles. The only problem pending was a lot o transmission slipping. It had this problem for about 2 years, but I didn’t think there was anything I could really do for the amount of money I had; so I just let it be.

Now back in May I ran my car through about 1’ of water on the road..hey I like to splash and I got those waves about 20’ high! So that was cool, but what was not so cool was the automatic transmission got locked up and I couldn’t go higher than 2nd gear, so I had to driver everywhere slow for about a day before I could work on it.

I took the bottom transmission pan out, changed the fluid, cleaned the electrical connections and then I worked ok for about 2 days, but then my OD was gone and I couldn’t go higher than 3rd gear. So, for about 2 weeks I drove around in frustration because I didn’t know what else it could be.

So I went to AutoZone and was looking in the fluid isle because I thought maybe I needed1 more quart of fluid. That is when I saw Lucas Transmission fluid. Your claim on the bottle said about “noticing results immediately” and “stops trans slipping” and “frees gears”. So I thought to try it. I bought the one quart and put it in. About 2 days later I was in a rush to get to a wedding and I noticed my car was driving very smooth at 75 mph on the express way. And I thought “what the heck? Oh that is excellent!”

Not only did your Lucas transmission fluid correct my mission overdrive gear problem which was a problem for over 2 weeks, it also stopped the transmission slippage which was a problem for well over 2 years!

So what I intend to do is mimic what I do with my oil. I have pure synthetic oil and I only change 1 quart and filter every 10k miles. Now I intend to drain all the trans fluid I just put in and replace it with 8 quarts of Lucas transmission fluid. (yes I know it is 12 quarts, so I am sure 8 quarts to 4 is more than phenomenal.

So I just wanted to say thank you for advertising with your little stickers notifying of your product that caught my eye. I have not ceased to tell everyone who know s anything about cars or having problems about your products! I swear it. I had a 1991 Izuzu p/u truck and had rear main seal leaking and it was going to cost me $1200 to repair it. My cousin told me to use Lucas oil. He also advised me to use 2 qt. with an oil change. So I changed my oil and added the 2 qt. of Lucas oil and it stopped the leak. So I keep using the oil and made it to 252,000 miles on the truck. I have a new truck now, and I saw my old Izuzu truck last week and it is still running well. I also use it in my wife’s car. She has a Chevy Lumana, and it has 172,000 miles on it and it was still running well. I want to thank you for a good product and I will tell everyone about it. Thanks again, Donald Richard! My 1997 Buick LeSabre transmission was starting to shutter during shifting into and out of 3rd and drive. I thought “I’ll stop in to the AutoZone store and see what I can get to solve the problem.” Wow! The number of transmission additives cover several feet of shelf space. I read all of the labels, and I did not trust asking an employee because I always feel the recommend the one with the highest margin for them. So, what do I do? One brand claimed “results are usually immediate”. Hmm, at least I’ll know quickly if this one works. So, I bought Lucas Transmission Fix. I went home, poured it into the old Buick and went for a ride. Problem gone!!! It worked immediately! I suggest that you make the words larger on your container. Thanks for the great product.
