Lucas Oil Joins TM UK Line Up For 2013

Lucas Oil is the new name behind the UK Motocross team, TM UK for the 2013 season.

The US-based oil and lubricants manufacturer is one of the biggest names in Motocross in the US and this move strengthens its UK presence in motorcycle competition.

"Our agreement with Paul Lyth's two-stroke specialist Lucas Oil TM Team gives us the opportunity to strengthen the performance and reliability of our motorcycle oils, additives and lubricants within the UK motocross scene. In one of the most demanding motorcycle racing environments," says Dan Morgan, motorcycle division manager of Lucas Oil Products.

The four riders in the Lucas Oil TM Team will be targeting regular podium positions and are tipped to challenge at the top of their respective British Nationals Series' classes.

The four riders are:

Chubby Hammond (17)-JuniorBritish Championship

Tom Johnson (19)-Red Bull GT Cup

Christian Lyth (19)-Red Bull Pro National

Chas Statt (21)-Masters of Motocross

Lucas Oil is no stranger to success in motorcycle racing. With the sponsoring of the Lucas Oil AMA series in the USA as well as UK elite speedway riders of the Coventry Bees and number of drag bikes currently on the European circuit. 

Lucas Oil TM Team's Paul Lyth expects the support from Lucas Oil's engine oils and additives to provide the reliability and consistency that will deliver some results that will cause a few surprises this season:
